Our client is seeking an Early Childhood (CDA) in Education K-12, with at least 1 year of experience working with children, to work in schools in the Washington DC area. Responsibilities Develop and deliver curriculum founded on the center's philosophies following childcare regulations and national standards. Create positive learning environments including resources based on child directed learning. Develop strategies to guide positive children's behavior. Ensure the learning environment is clean, hygienic and safe. Help develop teaching goals for the center and its teachers. Assist the Academic Teacher in meeting academic and vocational goals through planned, structured instruction directed by the teacher. Provide support to improve skills in the communication, physical abilities, social-emotional domains and self-care domains. Ensure medications are delivered accurately and on time. Follow infection control procedures. Use the individual plan to become informed about the clients' strengths, needs, preferences, interests, and accommodations as needed. Communicate appropriately with stakeholders - other employees, supervisors and managers. Available Hours Mon-Fri Schedule available Immediate Start Required Skills and Experience Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children Ability to support students with diverse learning and behavioral needs Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to pass required background clearances Child Development Associates Degree and/or CDA is required. Early Childhood Teaching qualifications, preferred. Experience working in a childcare setting. Fantastic organizational and teamwork skills. Sound written and verbal communication skills.
